Here's what you need to know about traveling to Mallorca and getting around once you're there—how to get in, the best ways to explore the island, and a few tips that made our journey easier.

Flight

We took a direct 2-hour flight from Charleroi to Mallorca, which was quick and convenient. Just a heads-up if you're flying Ryanair: they're very strict about carry-on luggage. As long as you follow the baggage rules exactly as outlined on their website, you'll be perfectly fine—no surprises at the gate!

Stay

I highly recommend Hipotels Mediterraneo Club in Sa Coma. It's a large, well-maintained resort with multiple sections, great facilities for kids, and even an indoor pool—which was perfect for the cooler April weather. The buffet is extensive, and as vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety—there was always something tasty and satisfying. While the hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, don't let that deter you. Free street parking nearby is safe, easy to find, and completely hassle-free.

Getting around in Mallorca

We rented a compact car from Record Go at a great price!  It was super convenient with an office right at the airport. When it was time to return the car, we simply dropped it off at the designated return point. A friendly staff member greeted us right away, quickly checked the car, and we were on our way. It's a seamless process, and before you know it, you're headed straight back to the airport!
