This is not part of my travel blog, cause I actually had the privilege of living there for 6 years, and it was also where Axel spent his first year of life.  Surrounded by the pristine beauty of tropical islands with little to no pollution, it sometimes truly felt like living in paradise

The archipelago is made up of several stunning islands, and during my time there, I explored Dennis Island, Silhouette, Praslin, and La Digue, while calling Mahé my home.

I worked as an expat, and life there was fairly simple. But, as much as I embraced the island life, I couldn't help but miss the seasons, the rich culture of Belgium, and the old-world charm of my hometown, Ghent. I also longed for the constant variety of activities back home—something new to experience every weekend—and the easy access to so many other countries.

That being said, my time in Seychelles was truly special. I spent my weekends enjoying the beach, and when Axel was born, I stayed for another year before I decided to move back to Belgium with him. It was a beautiful chapter in my life, one that I hold some nice memories of.
